Summer Sunshine Nail Polish!



Hi Everyone!!
It's another nail polish that I am loving! I have always steered away from neon colors (except for maybe pink), but this summer I have been so drawn to bright yellows, oranges, greens, blues and anything else bright and colorful! I feel like if you have pretty popping nails that you just feel a little better somehow. So, this new color that I have on my nails this week is something I got in my MyGlam bag for July. It is from Andrea's Choice's new nail polish line called "Circus". I got the color "Somersault" and it's a beautiful yellow. A lot of people consider it a neon yellow, however me being such a nail polish addict lately, I definitely think it's more of a pastel yellow or in between. Nevertheless it is so beautiful. I do have one complaint. The first 2 coats actually were really streaky and not pigmented. It was really weird. I ended up having to put on 4 coats to get it fully covered! Even at the 4th coat it really wanted to streak, but I used a very light hand and was able to get them looking pretty nice. I didn't stop there. I wanted to switch it up so I added a white tip with silver glitter and it really spiced it up!
Ultimate thoughts: This yellow nail polish from Andrea's choice is not my favorite. I didn't like the fact that I had to apply 4 coats and it took forever (obviously) to dry. I have really never seen this type of application problem, even with cheap polishes. The packaging is adorable and it looks so pretty in the bottle, but I wouldn't recommend this brand :( I really wanted to love it because I love Andrea's Choice and I love MyGlam. I have other yellows from Julep, Maybelline and Essie that are way better and do not require 4 coats. In the end it looks good, but I probably wouldn't use it again unless I had about 4 hours to do nothing :p lol.

Please let me know if you have tried the Circus line of nail polishes and if this has happened to you. Maybe I got a bunk one?? Did the other colors do this? Please comment below and tell me!!

MyGlam Bag: July!


Hey Everyone!!!
I was soooo excited for this months MyGlam Bag! It was the perfect summer kit. The above video shows all the things I received this month. My favorite thing is definitely the Yellow nail polish from Andrea's Choice! It's so awesome to see women creating businesses and products with things they love. I always support women doing stuff like that. The nail polish is so opaque and you really don't even need more than 1 coat if you're in a rush or 2 coats for an absolute perfect look.

I wish it came in a set of the shampoo and conditioner to get the full effect, but I really like this so I might just have to buy the shampoo as well :)

Summer In The NUDE! ;)

Summer time can always be the season for bright nails and with spunky designs, but sometimes it also calls for a great "Nude" color as well. A colorful outfit can sometimes be very well complimented by a natural nail color that doesn't distract from the colorful wardrobe. I have been trying so many different nude nail polishes...some with a brown, gold, pink base, you name it. I have to say that my favorite nude for this summer is "Eternal Optimist" by Essie.

 I also picked up a quick dry oil from Essie since sometimes we don't have the time to sit there and wait for our nails to dry especially if you are putting on 2-3 coats of polish. After applying this dry oil I could definitely tell my nails dried so much faster. I wasn't aware of exatly how it went on and a little goes a LONG way! I started to have little oil drops on my nails that I had to wipe off, but they kind of pooled slightly into my cuticles that I thought wouldn't hurt! Next time I will use a lighter hand with it. I still was able to get a small nick in it because I guess I didn't wait long enough and got a little impatient! Overall, I would recommend to a friend. lol.
Buying TIP: If you are into Essie nailpolishes but don't like the price tag, head over to ebay!! I was able to get 20 nail polishes for half the price!!! It's hit or miss so make sure you save it to your search and it will email you every time a seller posts them!

Summer Swim Designs: Retro Style!

Hey Everyone!
When it comes to swimwear we all have our own thoughts about what we like and of course have different body types to fit. This summer I have really been into a few new styles and I will share all of them in a couple posts, but this first one is this new (old) Retro High Waisted Bikini! I saw Taylor Swift wearing this last summer and I hated it. I just don't think California was ready for it hahaha. For some reason this summer I really wanted to try one! After having 2 kids I just didn't feel comfortable in my teeny bikini anymore. I think this style can flatter many body types and has an array of patterns and colors! This one that I recently bought is from Urban Outfitters! It is so cute. It is a very light pink polka dots with some shirring in the front and back and little ties on the top and bottom. This is definitely a risky one, but I'm really excited about it because I feel like I can really swim and chase my kids around without falling out everywhere :p
