Summer is still here! I have had the hardest time finding a bathing suit that fits and one that makes me feel beautiful. When it comes to cute one pieces, you can't really find one that fits both the top and bottom. I am a Med/Large on the top and Small on the bottom. It's always a mess. Monokini's have really made an awesome staple in many woman's summer swimwear drawer this season! I was determined to find someone that could create a custom bathing suit for me, but one that didn't break the bank.

After many google searches and horrible customer service experiences, I found one! Her name is Keila and she owns BeijoBaby.com. She makes handmade crochet swimwear and clothing for adults and kids!

I recently ordered a custom crochet Monokini because I have been feeling like all my two pieces aren't going to cut it when I go to the beach with my kids. The Monokinis that she makes are so beautiful. All you do is to fill in the measurements she sends you and you can pick out what kind of top/middle/bottom and color that you want. You can also just hand her the ropes and let her design one that is both beautiful and unique. You will never find another person with your exact same swimsuit since they are all made by hand!

The turnaround on her suits are about 7-10 days, but it also depends on how many she has ahead of yours and she will tell you when you can expect yours.
These suits stand up well at the pool or in the ocean! They are also super comfortable and I feel sexy, but still classy at the same time :)

Custom monokinis are around $130 and bikinis around $80. All pieces vary but are priced on the website and on etsy too. (above is: Crochet Top/Beach Cover-up)

The "Amanda Monokini"

This suit has great coverage all the while staying a little sexy. It's a definite statement piece. The top and bottom is lined, but you can get them unlined if you want. Small hand picked beads are put at the end of the ties which add such a unique feel for this Monokini. I haven't had any problems with it stretching out, coming loose or popping out anywhere (lol). It also dries very fast! So, go get one of these for that upcoming Summer party or BBQ when you want to stand out and be a little different from all the other bathing suits around you :)

Style Tip: Throw on a Maxi Skirt or Jean Shorts and you are all set!
