We will admit to being a little enticed because of the name. LaRocca Skincare C-Gold Reparative Primer, however, did not disappoint. The potent dose of vitamin C, antioxidants and infusion of 24K gold did amazing things for our complexion. We found that with daily use our skin appeared and felt smoother, with less noticeable lines. Not only did it valiantly defend our skin against aging, but our foundation went on evenly and seamlessly, creating a long-wearing, perfected finish.


My Review: I struck GOLD! This primer is amazing. It goes on so smooth and isn't thick and oily like a lot of primers out there. It immediately reminded me of the Smashbox primer, but a lot thinner. This product is also reparative, so it is taking care of your skin while acting as a really great base for your makeup. This will be great for summer time to wear alone under your SPF out in the sun. The little gold spreakles are not glittery, they just add a little shimmer that hits your face in all the right places. Total perfection. Love it. I can't believe I got this full sized product in a box along with 7 other products for $19.99!! Did you see that this alone retails for $90?? That's what I call a DEAL!

Beauty Army February Box: Updated Product Reviews!

So, I picked my 6 samples based on what I was feeling I wanted to work on this month....Skincare. I don't have the money to go and buy a bunch of high end products, but I know that a lot of them are worth it and the bottom line is that a lot of them really work!

MY REVIEW: This product is AMAZING! I don't use it every day because I want to savor it lol! I even like using it as an eye cream at night and I feel like it really does so much work overnight. I'm so glad I was able to try it and I think this sample will last a long time, but the full retail price is a bit out of my price range! Thank goodness for Beauty Army!!

MY REVIEW: This product is really watery (like I showed in my video). It didn't do much for my hair and didn't even really feel soft or conditioned. Not impressed and wouldn't purchase. Glad I tried it though because it would have been a waste of money...

MY REVIEW: I have been using this product every day since I got it. I found that it doesn't work well with other products under it. It tends to ball up over face products so I don't use this during the day. It's nice to use at night with it's cooling sensation and even with this tiny container it will last me a while because you don't have to use much at all. It's hard to tell if eye creams are really working, but it feels nice, just doesn't really work during the day under makeup.


And last, but certainly not least is my #6 product:

Favorite Mascara: March - Revlon PhotoReady 3D Volume Macara

Hi Everyone!

I am a total mascara junkie. I am always on the hunt for a new, great, drugstore mascara. I really have to pick and choose what I splurge on (makeup wise) and just don't think you have to spend loads of money on mascara. I have always had pretty good success with drugstore mascaras.
SO, I found my new favorite mascara while browsing on youtube and also saw an ad in a magazine for it. It had everything I wanted in a wand....slim, short bristles and the spikey ball at the end!

Expert Tips - How to get glamorous, big volume lashes:
  1. Apply the mascara to the upper lashes from root to tip
  2. Apply once again in order to build more volume and length
  3. Use specially designed lash finding brush tip to capture and fan out every lash
*My Tip: Use the end (ball) for the inner corner top/bottom lashes and outer lashes to really get every single lash. This ball automatically does it's job when using with the whole wand anyways, which adds an effect that you won't believe and I can't even describe!*

Last month I raved about L'Oreal False Fiber Lashes and I still love it. I just think it's a bit much for daytime use as it really adds those false fibers and can sometimes make my lashes a little clumpy. I wanted something that could really make my lashes long, but not overdone. I also really love those ones with the round spikey ends. I have the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara that is just that ball, but it isn't that great for all your lashes, just the bottom or hard to reach areas. I think I found my new HOLY GRAIL mascara!! Yay! I would definitely recommend running out to grab this baby fast. It has made all the difference in the world.

My eyelashes have never looked better, longer and healthier. I am so happy. I always say that applying mascara is one of the most important parts of doing your makeup and I never leave the house without it on. Even alone, it can totally make you look awake and alive.
